Peter Russell is a former Wall Street commodity broker, a registered AP and Branch Office Manager of C.F.O.S with 30 years of experience in the commodities industry; Peter began his career in 1976 working on Wall Street for firms such as Neuberger Securities, Clayton Brokerage Co., Shearson American Express, Heinhold Commodities and Gelderman Inc.
Peter attributes his success in the commodity industry to always having a great defense. Great rewards come with risk. It is imperative to have in place a solid money management plan to protect the traders assets. Then the client can trade smart with a good offensive plan. Realistic objectives and a profit protection plan need to be in place. Traders need to enter at the right price at the right time. Timing is half the battle. Peter is a student of cycles and believes traders should be aware WHEN things are most likely to occur.
Peter is a graduate of Augusta Military Academy of Fort Defiance, Virginia. He attended Farleigh Dickinson University at West Indies Laboratory, St. Croix, Virgin Islands, and has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marine Geology from Windham College, Putney, Vermont.
Peter is an avid skier who has not missed one ski season in 43 years. In 1991, Peter relocated from New York to Salt Lake City, Utah, to pursue his joy for skiing. He has been certified for 32 years with the Professional Ski Instructors of America and holds Level III Instructorship. He is enthusiastic and shares his joy of skiing with others. This led him to become a weekend, part-time ski instructor from 1991 to 2001 for Park City Mountain Resort and The Canyons Resort.
Peter has a passion for high performance motorcycle riding. He has graduated from seven riding schools. Just like trading the more you know about something the more the risk is minimized. Most people think you have the gas and the brake. There is actually 41 decisions in each corner. Peter has owned and rides several bikes Ducati, Suzuki and Kawasaki. He rides at the track regularly. He is also a member of Moto Italia, Utah Sport Bike Association and Miller Motorsports Park.
Peter has been married to his beautiful and talented wife Elizabeth (a Feng Shui Consultant) since 1987. They have one daughter, Samantha, age 16 who is the light of their lives. Together they enjoy skiing, camping, and gardening.
